About Red Rose Artistic Rollerskating Bolton
About Red Rose
Red Rose Roller Skating was first established in the year 2000. A group of friends were gathered at a social event and discussed the fact that there was nowhere in Lancashire where people could skate socially and practice the sport of Artistic Roller Skating at a price that was affordable for all. From this gathering, Red Rose Roller Skating was formed.

Paula, Connie and Bill funded buying skates for social skaters, public liability insurance and secured a regular booking at Darwen Sports Centre. In the year 2002, the club affiliated to the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating and began eventing. At a later date, the venue at Darwen had extensive building work and so the club moved to the Bolton area to ensure continuity.

We now practice regularly at Turton Sports Centre, Bromley Cross and at Smithills Sports Centre. Our skaters come from more than just the local area though, we have attendance form Manchester, Preston and Wigan to name just a few. The Friday Disco and occasional parties run by the club help to finance sessions and also help to subsidise competition costs for our skaters. Indeed we are not about making money; we are in it for the love of our sport and improving the local community.

If you interested in skating with us then please just turn up to sessions 2 or 3, or telephone Paula on 01254 668 314 (evenings, weekends and school holidays). Alternatively email redroserollers@live.co.uk. No matter what age, gender or creed, we look forward to seeing you.
